Privacy Policy

How Lateshift handles your information, including waitlist emails, account details, tasks, and calendar access.

Last updated July 3, 2026

Lateshift (“Lateshift,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is an app designed to help people plan and protect their off-hours. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

This policy applies to our website, waitlist, beta program, and app-related services.

1. Information We Collect

We may collect the following types of information:

  • Contact information, such as your email address, if you join our waitlist, contact us, or sign up for updates.
  • Account information, such as your name, email address, login information, and preferences, if you create an account.
  • Calendar information, if you choose to connect a calendar. Lateshift may read calendar event times, availability, event titles, and related calendar metadata so it can avoid scheduling over your existing commitments.
  • Task information, such as tasks, estimated durations, preferred scheduling windows, priorities, and notes you provide.
  • Usage information, such as pages viewed, features used, device type, browser type, referring pages, and approximate interaction data.
  • Communications, such as messages you send to us for support, feedback, or accessibility requests.

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

  • Provide, operate, and improve Lateshift.
  • Generate suggested schedules based on your calendar, tasks, and preferences.
  • Avoid double-booking your existing calendar events.
  • Manage the waitlist and beta access.
  • Send product updates, launch announcements, and service-related messages.
  • Respond to support, privacy, legal, and accessibility requests.
  • Understand how people use the website and app.
  • Protect against misuse, fraud, security issues, or technical problems.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

3. Calendar Data

Lateshift is designed to help you plan around your existing commitments. If you connect your calendar, we use calendar information to understand when you are busy or available.

We do not use your calendar data to sell advertising. We do not sell your calendar data. We do not intentionally schedule over existing calendar events unless you choose to change your settings or confirm a schedule that does so.

If calendar access is optional in the app, you may disconnect it through your account settings or through your calendar provider’s permissions page.

4. Waitlist and Marketing Emails

If you join the waitlist, we may use your email address to send updates about Lateshift, beta access, product availability, and related announcements.

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting us at privacy@lateshift.app.

5. Cookies and Analytics

Our website may use cookies or similar technologies to keep the site working, understand traffic, improve performance, and learn which pages are useful.

If we add analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party tracking tools, we will update this Privacy Policy to describe those tools and any choices available to you.

6. How We Share Information

We may share information with:

  • Service providers who help us host the website, operate the app, send emails, provide analytics, manage support, or maintain security.
  • Calendar or authentication providers, when necessary to connect your account or provide calendar-related functionality.
  • Legal or safety parties, if required to comply with law, enforce our rights, prevent fraud, or protect users, Lateshift, or the public.
  • Business transfer parties, if Lateshift is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets.

We do not sell your personal information.

7. Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to provide the service, maintain records, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

You may request deletion of your information by contacting us at privacy@lateshift.app.
